Power Washing

Cleaning the painting surface prior to painting allows the new paint to adhere to the surface for longer lasting staying power.

Sanding

Some surfaces need to be sanded. A and P Painting can determine what needs to be sanded to smooth out uneven surfaces on interior/exterior drywall, wood and metal or to remove lose flaky, popping, rusting and peeling paint to create a sound service. Sanding is part of the preparation steps of painting surfaces. Moldings, drywall and other surfaces require this preparation to give your new paint lasting staying power and a clean professional finish.

Priming

Priming provides excellent adhesion for new paint while it seals the old damaged surfaces due to chalk, nicotine, water damage, tanning, bleeding, rust and efflorescence.  Priming also protects from the weather such as heat and rain.  Priming is used on surfaces such as drywall, wood, metal, masonry, and stucco. Using todays modern painting surface primers, your paint will look great and last longer.

Cover and Masking

We cover surfaces with new plastic and paper using the proper tape.  Covering surfaces around the areas to be painted is essential to part of the preparation process. A and P Painting will ensure covering areas where paint may drip or over spray may reach. This part of the preparation makes cleaning up quick and easy and ensures a clean finish.

Caulking

Used on joints and seams to lock out weather and provides a neater, cleaner looking finish.

Stucco Repair

A and P Painting repairs damage caused by water, golf balls, weather, even damage done by cars. Stucco can be repaired using the right product and technique done by hand to create skip trowel, Monterey, and sand finishes.

Elast-O-meric Patch

Elast-o-meric patch provides strong adhesion and elasticity to fill cracks in wood, drywall, and masonry. Elast-O-meric patch also waterproofs above ground foundations and stem-walls.

Painting

Different surfaces may require different techniques to apply the paint. We use the correct tools to achieve the best results from spraying, brushing, and rolling, using the proper tip, roller nap, millage and coats from flat finishes to high gloss sheen for the best result from oil or latex base paints.
